Conestoga Country Club 2025 Pool Action Plan

We are excited to share our plan for the 2025 pool season, shaped by the feedback from last year’s member survey. Your input has been invaluable, and we’ve taken your concerns to heart to make meaningful improvements. Our focus this year will be on keeping the pool cleaner, ensuring rules are enforced consistently, improving safety and lifeguard attentiveness, and enhancing the food and beverage experience. By addressing these areas, we are directly responding to the key concerns highlighted in the survey.

To start, we have some exciting changes for 2025. The pool and café will now be open all day on Mondays, giving members more opportunities to enjoy the facilities. We’re also introducing new fitness programs, including water aerobics and lap swimming, to offer more ways to stay active. Our young swimmers will benefit from an improved instructional program, ensuring they receive quality training. Additionally, the Café Bar will remain open until fifteen minutes before closing, making it easier to grab a drink later in the day. And perhaps most importantly, we’re thrilled to welcome Bettyann Wood as our new pool manager, who brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the role. I believe strongly that Bettyann will be an integral part of implementing the action plan below.

One of the biggest areas we’re addressing is pool cleanliness. Last year, we made significant upgrades by purchasing a new pool pump and updating the electrical system, which has already made a noticeable difference in water clarity. We’ve also updated all maintenance standards, putting clearer expectations in place for daily and weekly cleaning. Our staff will receive thorough training before the season starts and will continue to be trained throughout the summer to ensure the highest level of cleanliness. We’re also placing a greater emphasis on accountability, with regular follow-ups to make sure these standards are consistently met.

Enforcing pool rules is another key priority. We believe that maintaining a fun and respectful environment starts with clear communication and cooperation from members. Staff will be given the tools and training they need to effectively and professionally enforce the rules, but we also ask that members adhere to the rules and parents take an active role in monitoring their children. Respecting these guidelines will help create a better experience for everyone.

When it comes to safety and lifeguard attentiveness, we are committed to setting high expectations and following through with regular training. You may notice lifeguard training sessions happening during open hours—this is intentional and ensures that our team stays sharp throughout the season. We’re also adjusting our approach to lifeguard coverage. During peak hours, we will have two or more guards on duty at all times, not just when the pool is crowded, but based on overall staffing availability to ensure we’re always prepared. We will also be monitoring lifeguard attentiveness while on stand to ensure they are actively scanning the water and searching for opportunities to assist swimmers who are in distress.

We are committed to enhancing our food and beverage offerings to provide the best experience for our Members. To maintain high-quality service and standards, all café staff will undergo proper training. Our Chef has worked diligently to create a new menu that balances variety and quality, ensuring a diverse yet consistently excellent dining experience.

To keep things exciting, we’ll introduce menu updates throughout the season. Our primary focus will be on consistency and quality, every dish will be prepared to the highest standards each time you order. Chef Christian and Executive Sous Chef Chris will be actively involved daily to uphold these expectations.

We truly appreciate your feedback and your ongoing support as we work to make the Conestoga Country Club Pool a place where everyone can relax, have fun, and enjoy the best possible experience. We’re looking forward to an incredible 2025 season and can’t wait to see you at the pool!

Best Regards,
